MEOW!
To attain success, it is imperative to trust in one's team. The confidence bestowed upon team members can foster a sense of accountability and motivation, leading to improved performance and outcomes. It is crucial to recognize the importance of trust as an integral component of a successful team dynamic.

My daughter and I have been playing Persona 5, a famous Japanese Role-playing game, for a while now. The game follows a group of high school protagonists who use demons, known as 'personas,' to fight against evil. One of the most fascinating characters in the game is a feline named Morgana. My daughter is particularly taken with this character, as it rides on the main character's shoulders, sits on his head or bag, and follows him wherever he goes. The cat trusts the central character deeply, even in the most dangerous situations.

The relationship between the two characters is reminiscent of the bond between a pet cat and its owner. Morgana in Persona 5 represents feline behavior, from its curious nature to its tendency to follow its owner. However, I often wonder if I need to be more analytical of the character's behavior. Regardless, the bond between the main character and his feline companion is a game highlight that adds more depth to the story.

When I started my studio, I took a risk and hired newly graduated artists who needed more professional experience. I knew these young artists had a lot of potential, and I was committed to teaching them the ropes of the industry. I was patient in showing them how to draw from script to final art and also taught them how to manage projects in teams. This is an essential skill in the industry, and I trusted them to handle single or long-term projects that required them to work independently. It was a long and arduous process, but ultimately worth it.

To this day, those artists are still working with me and have become an essential part of my team. I trust them to deliver high-quality work, and they trust me to bring in clients. We have built a strong working relationship based on mutual respect and trust, and I am proud of the work that we have accomplished together.

Building trust is crucial to any successful team, whether in a corporate environment, a classroom, or another setting. Here are some more detailed tips to help you create trust and foster a positive working relationship with your team:

Create a process

By developing a system or process, you can provide your team with a clear understanding of the task at hand. Additionally, teaching them how to complete the task effectively and efficiently will make it easier for them to recreate it in the future. This clarity can help build trust by ensuring that everyone is on the same page from the beginning.

Reciprocate

Acknowledging your team's input and feedback is crucial. By listening to their inquiries, concerns, mistakes, and suggestions, you can help them feel heard and valued. This will help mitigate any potential issues and build trust. When team members feel that their contributions are valued, they are more likely to feel invested in the project and the team's success.

Encourage creativity

Encouraging your team to express their creativity can lead to innovative ideas and solutions. However, it's essential to ensure they don't do anything that could compromise their career or the project's success. By fostering a creative environment, you can help your team feel more invested in the project, and they may be more likely to offer innovative solutions to challenges that arise.

Help them grow

Identifying areas for improvement is crucial for individual and team growth. Once the project is complete, take the time to reflect on what went well and what didn't. This will help you identify areas for improvement and provide your team with growth opportunities. By offering your team opportunities for growth and development, you can show them that you value their professional advancement.

Have fun

Maintaining a positive and enjoyable work environment can significantly improve team morale and productivity. By trusting your team and creating a fun work environment, you can foster a sense of community and encourage your team to work together towards a common goal. Taking the time to celebrate milestones and successes can also help build trust and boost morale.

Building trust within a team takes time, but you can create a solid, reliable team with patience and consistency. These tips can help you improve team morale and productivity and ultimately increase the chances of project success. Investing in your team can help them feel valued and invested in the project's success.
